Architect for new buildings- Phase I and II

The resounding success of the original design in 1986 led to a major $34 million dollar expansion that was three times larger than the original building. The 97,000 sq.ft. museum expansion includes a major addition to the original Atlantic Ocean Pavilion and the Owl's Creek Marsh Pavilion, a 3D IMAX theater, a new facility connected to the original building by a boardwalk, and outdoor trail exhibits.
